With offices in Utrecht and Groningen, Castor Marine is rapidly expanding in the maritime sector. To support this growth and assist our Account Managers in selling IT and networks services, we are seeking a skilled Sales IT Engineer.

Your Role

As a Sales IT Engineer, you will bridge the gap between our technical capabilities and customer needs. Working closely with the Sales and Technical teams, your primary responsibility will be to support Account Managers in designing and presenting tailored (Managed) IT solutions for our clients. Our Managed IT solutions leverage Fortinet and Dell equipment. You’ll be customer-facing, participating in in-person and virtual meetings to understand client requirements and provide clear, actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Account Managers to design and present IT solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Design and price IT and network solutions for customers.
  • Create technical proposals tailored to client requirements.
  • Translate technical solutions into customer-friendly language.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to verify solution feasibility and ensure smooth implementation.
  • Participate in pre-sales and post-sales activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
Your Profile

  • A positive, customer-focused attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, ethical approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a detail-oriented mindset.
Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar Sales IT Engineer or technical pre-sales role.
  • Ability to translate customer challenges into technical-commercial solutions.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Strong technical and customer service skills.
  • Experience with Fortinet and Dell equipment and services.
  • Effective time management and multitasking skills.
  • Experience in the maritime sector is a plus.
